DSPL9 Events and Support for Parents

DSPL9 hold coffee mornings for all parents of children with SEND.

UPDATE – We apologise that Parent and Carer coffee morning on 1st October has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

DSPL 9 offers support to parents and carers of children and young people who are experiencing EBSA.  This support is provided on a half-termly basis in the form of coffee mornings and consultations.

Half-termly face-to-face coffee mornings:

The purpose of these meetings will be to:

• Provide a safe space for parents/carers to share experiences with local parents/carers in similar situations.
• Provide an opportunity for parents/carers to speak to services about their experiences and seek support, signposting, strategies and resources.

EBSA Support Parent Drop Ins

The purpose of these meetings will be:

• As part of the EBSA Support Package available to parents across the local area, DSPL 9 will be offering schools an opportunity to book a session for the DSPL 9 Manager and Family Support Worker to visit the school and provide advice and signposting for parents of children experiencing EBSA.

Please speak to your child's school SENCo to access this support.
